May your Christmas be filled with wonder and awe as you take time to remember how and why our Father in heaven made good on His promise to send us all a saviour named Jesus. May love, joy, peace and hope fill you and your household in a new way this Christmas time.
As we enjoy our days of summer, our Prayer is that you would be kept safe and well under the shelter of our Fathers wings, in ‘The Word for Today’ recently they quoted Psalm 27:5 ‘He hides me in His Pavilion’ which means He hides me in a secret place that is hidden and out of the enemies reach.
This year has certainly been unlike any other as the pandemic had a bigger impact than in 2020, and as we look ahead to 2022 that is only days away, we are moving into more uncharted territory. Yet as I have read through the Christmas story again the theme of a light shining in the darkness keeps standing out to me, Isaiah 9:2 "The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine."
Luke 1:79 “to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
and to guide us to the path of peace.” Luke 2:32 "He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel!” So as the new year unfolds I’m sure that God’s light of revelation will shine on us and illuminate the way we should go, we have a good, good Father. Seek and you will find.
God Bless you and yours.
